UPPER 90 FC 2007 Ladies Team Red helping out at One of a Kind Pet Rescue

The UPPER 90 FC 2007 Team Red spent some time helping out at One of a Kind Pet Rescue in Akron, Ohio. They spent some of their time making rice pack/heating pads.  They are used to keep puppies warm and are also used for dogs and cats coming out of surgery.

About One of a Kind Pet Rescue:

One of A Kind Pet Rescue is a non-profit organization founded in November 2005 and is funded by private donations. The organization is dedicated to saving animal lives, rescuing pets in imminent danger of euthanasia, spaying/neutering and adoption of homeless animals into appropriate, loving homes.

We are a no-time-limit shelter and no adoptable animal is euthanized. Many of our animals come from Animal Control Facilities (the pound) just prior to their scheduled euthanasia. Sick or injured animals brought to us by Good Samaritans are often given priority. Owner surrenders and strays are accepted when space is available.

At UPPER 90 FC we look for youth with a passion for the game, players with the inner drive to reach for their goals, and players with exceptional character and sportsmanship both on and off the soccer field.”  With these projects we are working to develop the “off the soccer field” aspect of our youth.
